The rivalry between John Cena and AJ Styles came to a definitive end at the WWE Crown Jewel 2025. The Leader of the Cenation Army delivered a Tombstone Piledriver and followed it up with an Attitude Adjustment to pin the Phenomenal One. In the process, Cena finished his chapter with the former TNA star with a winning record of 3-2.

5. SmackDown Live, Feb 27, 2018 

It was a special stipulation match on the Blue Brand. Cena took on Styles in the main event on the 27th February 2018 in the house the latter built. The match was to determine the Number 1 contender for the World Title match at Fastlane. The duo delivered a banger and Cena claimed a win to earn a shot at the world title.

4. Money in the Bank 2016

The match between John and Styles at the Money in the Bank 2016 was their first-ever encounter. It was a highly anticipated match, as Mr.TNA took on Mr.WWE for the first time in their careers. It was a banger and Styles won it in the end, thanks to the help from The O.C (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson).

3. SummerSlam 2016

While the Money in the Bank saw assistances from The O.C, the story was built such a way that Styles had to win clean. The Phenomenal One took it upon himself to prove he's capable of beating Cena clean. Hence, their match at SummerSlam happened, which was Wrestling at its purest form.

2. Royal Rumble 2017 for the World Title

It was the match between Cena and Styles that had the highest stake. While their SummerSlam match was nearly perfect, the Royal Rumble match for the world title was even better. Many regard it to be one of the purest Wrestling matches of all-time. Cena claimed his first-ever win against Styles and did so by winning a record 16th world title.

1. Crown Jewel 2025 in their final faceoff

The story for the final match of the rivalry between the two wrote itself. Cena took to X and appealed for the fans and Triple H to make his match against Styles official. There were multiple tributes and homages with some classical storytelling, which makes it one of the greatest Wrestling matches of all-time.
