Did Drew McIntyre just quit WWE?

Did Drew McIntyre just quit WWE? At least, that's what he announced following his entrance into the ring. The Scottish Warrior made his appearance on Raw after sustaining a massive loss against Damian Priest at the Clash at the Castle. As Drew entered the arena, he seemed to be lost in his thoughts, very similar to Seth Rollins who had visible pain in his eyes.

Drew was not at his self best. He seemed to be in a kind of grief. As he entered the arena, the fans welcomed him with chants of "CM Punk". Usually, an enraged McIntyre would've put the crowd in its place with a verbal takedown. But this was Drew with Broken dreams. He seemed to be lost in grief. The Scottish Warrior did not make an attempt to fight the crowd.

Instead, Drew accepted that Punk had the better of him. He said screw everything. There was a break in his voice. Drew took courage and said he quit WWE. The fans were shocked by his announcement. And so was Adam Pearce, the RAW GM, who convinced McIntyre to have a second look at his decision. But Drew was not ready to listen to anyone.

Fake or real move from Drew McIntyre?

Neither was he ready to listen to Triple H, who tried to calm him down backstage. It seemed like McIntyre realized the result of taking on Punk. He was a bit too obsessed with the cult of personality and it has cost him everything. Drew McIntyre disappeared from sight as Adam repeatedly tried to have a bit of talk with him. The fans were in total shock to see it.

That brings us to the question. Did Drew really leave WWE? Or is it an attempt from McIntyre to distract CM Punk and all others who doubt him? In the next week on Raw, or probably later this week on Smackdown, there might be an answer. But for now, it seems like Drew is not happy with anything in the world.
