In 2025, with John Cena being at the helm of things and the Voice of the Voiceless at his best in the company, getting the loudest pops every week, an interesting story has been added to the Night of Champions, which will take place in Saudi Arabia. Punk vs Cena is a reality in the upcoming PLE, which has brought the former's relationship with Saudi Arabia into the equation.

Many wondered if Punk would be willing to work with Cena in the Middle East, given his past opinion. However, in one of the Instagram Live sessions, Punk confirmed his intentions and claimed he never had a problem visiting the country. "I don’t hate coming to Saudi, I’ve never been to Saudi," claimed Punk in the session.

Cena smartly brought the trick of inviting Punk to wrestle him in Saudi Arabia at the Night of Champions for the Undisputed WWE Championship to add fuel to their rivalry. While Cena's heel turn has been a let-off, the feud is expected to bring the fire in him to make his retirement run much better.

It does seem like the real-life incident has been incorporated well into the WWE creative story. As per the reports, Punk indeed does not have a problem going to Saudi Arabia, which could mean either a change of his view on the country, or his willingness to be a professional he is, despite his views on the same.
