Bully Ray feels sad for Randy Orton's returns repeatedly getting overshadowed

Bully Ray spoke about how both of Randy Orton's returns since 2023 got overshadowed due to different reasons. The former tag team champion was sad for the Viper, as his returns at the Survivor Series 2023 and the Elimination Chamber 2025 were not the headlines due to the return of CM Punk and the heel turn of John Cena.

Bully Ray spoke about Randy's return in his show, Busted Open Radio. He was happy that Randy was finally back in action after being absent from the company for over 3 months. However, he felt bad for the star wrestler whose birth returns in the last couple of years were overshadowed due to other moments.

Bully explained that Orton returned at the Survivor Series for the first time in nearly two years but could not make headlines. Ray said Punk's return to WWE stole all the limelight at the Survivor Series 2023. He further pointed out how Viper's return at the Elimination Chamber 2025 could not make the headlines due to Cena's heel turn.

'You gotta feel bad for Randy Orton' - Bully Ray

Bully claimed Cody asking the Rock to F**k himself was the headline of the night. The former tag team champion echoed what Randy himself funnily said in the backstage video from the Survivor Series 2023. Randy jokingly claimed Punk stole the limelight by returning and left nothing for him.

"You gotta feel bad for Randy Orton. He comes back, there's somebody else that ... I mean, first it was with Punk, right? [Two years] ago? Now, last night, at Elimination Chamber, the night he comes back is the night Cody tells The Rock he can go 'eff himself," said Bully Ray.

Orton was taken out by the Bloodline in early 2022, which kept him out of action for nearly two years. Likewise, Kevin Owens delivered him a Package Piledriver on WWE Smackdown after Crown Jewel. Hence, Randy was out of action for over three months. Both of Randy's returns were overshadowed due to different moments.
