Brock Lesnar's Friday Night SmackDown return has been advertised by WWE for September 12. The Beast is additionally advertised to show up on the blue brand on September 19. On the other hand, John Cena is advertised for the September 15 episode of Monday Night Raw. Cena is likely to face Lesnar at Crown Jewel, and their match could have a build in these dates.

Lesnar has been out of action for over 2 years. His last match was against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023, which he lost. His return at the WWE SummerSlam 2025 shocked the fans, as not many expected him to show up, given his mention in the Janel Grant Lawsuit.

The Beast returned and took Cena out with an F5. It was expected that Cena and Brock could have a feud till the Clash in Paris. However, WWE did not pull the trigger for Brock's weekly appearances on Raw or SmackDown. With the dust having settled fairly, WWE has decided on Lesnar's return for the blue brand.

Will John Cena face Brock Lesnar at WWE Crown Jewel 2025?

As per the plans, the former UFC Heavyweight Champion is set to appear on WWE SmackDown on September 12 and 19, respectively. Likewise, Cena is advertised for the September 15 episode of Monday Night Raw. Their feud is hence likely to happen between Clash in Paris and Crown Jewel.

At Clash in Paris, Cena is scheduled to face Logan Paul in a match. There could be a case for Brock attacking Cena after the match, leading to their buildup. On September 12, 15, and 19, Cena and Brock could have promos, segments, and brawls, which could lead to their match at Crown Jewel.
