Bret Hart claimed he was mistreated by WWE after being invited to be in attendance at SummerSlam 2025. The Hitman said the management claimed there was no seat for him and added that he had noticed one for Kevin Nash. It led to the 2-time WWE Hall of Famer thinking that the Stamford-based company doesn't appreciate him for anything he did.

Hart showed up in an interview with Vaughan Con and narrated the incident. The veteran said he was invited to be a part of the SummerSlam crowd. He added that the management said there was no seat for him, claiming there was one for Kevin Nash. Bret felt WWE doesn't fully appreciate him, even after the death of Hulk Hogan.

"I went to SummerSlam, they invited me down, told me they wanted me to be in the crowd. And once I got there, they told me they didn’t have any seats. But I noticed Kevin Nash got a seat. Maybe I finally realized that I don’t feel they really fully appreciate me, even after Hulk [Hogan’s] passing. There’s no certain appreciation for anything I did," said Bret Hart in the interview.

On the contrary, Hitman is officially recognized by WWE. A month before the start of the first-ever 2-nighter SummerSlam, WWE started a series of 25 greatest SummerSlam matches. Two of the top 5 best matches belonged to Bret Hart.
