Roman Reigns recently spoke about him hitting Seth Rollins with a steel chair at WrestleMania XL when he had a chance to do the same to Cody Rhodes to retain his world title. The OTC claimed that it was more important for him to address the visionary than the American Nightmare. He said Seth taught him to trust people with limit.
Seth Rollins dressed himself up in the gear of his Shield days. It distracted the former world champion totally. At a point in the main event of night two of WrestleMania XL, both Seth and Cody were done with Roman Reigns having an advantage. He could have easily chosen to smash Cody to claim a win.
However, the Tribal Chief chose to hit Rollins over Rhodes. It helped Cody gain some time to recover himself and go after Roman. He ended up delivering three Cross Rhodes in a row to end the 1316-day title reign of the star wrestler.
'Anytime I have a chance to f*ck him up, I’m gonna take it' - Roman Reigns
Speaking about his preference, Roman said that he would never waste an opportunity to target Seth. He was visibly enraged about what Rollins did to the Shield in the past. Roman felt that Seth's past would remind him to not trust people enough in his life.
"Anytime I have a chance to f*ck him up, I’m gonna take it, that’s how I feel about him. He’s a constant reminder and a lesson to myself on who to trust, and how to trust them, and if you can’t, how to keep ‘em," said Reigns in a recent interview. It showed that the former Shield member was still angry about what Rollins did to the faction.
Roman concluded with a poetic description of himself and Seth. He said the distance between him and Seth is about a chair's length away. "And that’s where I like to keep him, a chair's length away," concluded Roman. Fans felt it was a great reference to the past story and claimed the duo could have a feud in the future.
