In the interview, Vince Russo claimed that if someone had aced a field and wanted to explore opportunities, there is room for growth. He claimed ring announcing to be a basic trait and felt anyone could be good at it. The comment of Russo has received mixed opinions from the fans since then.
"If they've aced what they've done and they're really good at it and really they want to do more, I give them that opportunity to do more. Quite frankly, anybody can be a ring announcer," said Vince in the interview. Jonathan Coachman, who was also in the show, gave his opinion on the issue.

Coachman felt that to be in WWE and have a career can be one of the greatest gigs. He felt anyone involved with WWE could easily switch to other professions, especially those in acting and singing. "It's the greatest gig ever," said Jonathan who failed to believe Irvin's claim.
Samantha Irvin took to social media and claimed the reason behind exiting from WWE. She claimed to not like announcing and added that it was just a way for her to start in WWE. Irvin claimed she wanted to be a manager and added that WWE did not see a future in her apart from announcing.
"I don’t like announcing, I’m serious! Announcing was only supposed to be my way in. I wanted to manage, maybe even become a general manager one day. But WWE saw no other future for me besides announcer. I love watching the action, but I don’t love being an announcer," wrote Irvin.
