Mickie James criticised the dressing sense of the modern day female wrestlers. While training an upcoming wrestler named Zena Sterling in the WWE LFG show involving the likes of The Undertaker and Booker T, Mickie claimed it was difficult for her to concentrate on anything apart from their a*s, something she claimed to be very distracting.

As Zena showed her skills to James, the former WWE Superstar claimed to like her gear. She claimed to be from the Diva Era and added that women in her time fought hard to not wrestle in lingerie. "I like your new gear. I lived during the Diva era, and we fought very, very hard to not have to wrestle in lingerie anymore," said Mickie.

However, she claimed it to be frustrating to see today's wrestlers wearing revealing clothes. She claimed it was difficult to look past women and felt they acted as a distraction. "It’s very frustrating when women go out there and wrestle, and all I see is their a*s. I can’t look past that—it’s all I see. It’s very distracting," James added.

'You are pretty much wrestling in jazzed-up lingerie'

James gave her a piece of advice to the emerging star. She said one might not take wrestlers seriously if they wear jazzed-up lingerie. Mickie claimed it to be her opinion and said it was coming from someone who was forced to wear such a revealing dress on Live TV in their time.

"You want to be taken seriously as a wrestler, but you are pretty much wrestling in jazzed-up lingerie. And that’s my opinion. And that’s coming from someone who’s had their a*s on TV a lot," James advised Sterling in the footage, which has gone viral on social media.

Fans had mixed opinions on James' advice for the emerging talent. While some felt Mickie had no right to comment on the dress sense of the emerging star, considering she wore it herself in the past, others claimed that since she was aware that it was not ideal, she advised the emerging star on the right thing.
