Raj Dhesi, aka Jinder Mahal, spoke about the need to have more South Asian representation in the WWE rosters. While Jinder claimed there were many greats in WWE from India in the past, he felt the current roster lacks the wrestlers from South Asia. He claimed the system could not be blamed for it and the wrestlers had to get better themselves.

Jinder recalled the days when there were many wrestlers from South Asia when he was growing up. He said Apu was there to represent them. "Growing up, there were no South Asians on TV. All we had was Apu for representation. Unfortunately, it's the truth. We didn't have anybody; we had typical stereotype characters, [like] a gas station worker or a tech nerd," said the former WWE Superstar.
He further added that there weren't many whom he could look up to while growing up. "So, growing up, I didn't have anybody I could relate to, so it's very important for my generation of wrestlers—and not just myself, but all of us—to talk about this and how important it is to inspire the next generation," Jinder added.
'We can't blame the system. We have to rise' - Jinder Mahal
Mahal felt the need for South Asian wrestlers to step up, as the current WWE roster had not a single one of them. "We've already accomplished so many great things, but we need to accomplish more. And the fact that there is zero—not a single South Asian in WWE right now, 'Raw,' 'NXT,' or' SmackDown, '" Raj felt.
He added there was something wrong with it and claimed the wrestlers had to improve themselves. "There's something seriously wrong with that. But we can't blame the system. We have to rise. We have to get ourselves to that level, and we will," Jinder added.
Dhesi spoke about the likes of Dara Singh, the Great Khali, and Tara Jeet Singh, who inspired the current generation of wrestlers. He fondly remembered the induction of Dara Singh into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2018.
