In a Triple Threat match on Friday night on WWE SmackDown, LA Knight will square off against Logan Paul and Santos Escobar. The three men will compete for a spot in the Men's Money in the Bank ladder match on July 6 However, The Megastar is at odds with the United States Champion going into Friday's bout. The two appear to be vying for the championship, and The Maverick may have a surprise in store. He could direct Carmelo Hayes to assault Paul so that he can't compete in the qualifying match.

LA Knight and Carmelo Hayes have recently clashed, notably during backstage interviews. Logan Paul may see this as an opportunity to keep his archrival from participating in the MITB qualifying Triple-Threat match. The 41-year-old may be assaulted by 'HIM' backstage, rendering him unable to compete.

This might lead to Knight and Hayes battling in a singles battle before SummerSlam. It will help the former to secure a significant victory ahead of a possible United States Championship battle versus Paul at SummerSlam 2024.

WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis could schedule the bout once it was discovered that Hayes assaulted Knight under Paul's instructions. The previous NXT Champion may become the champion's lackey for the time being.

LA Knight hasn't taken home a singles championship

LA Knight has set his eyes on earning title gold during his Money in the Bank qualifying on WWE SmackDown Live. Before taking out for Scotiabank Arena in Toronto to get the briefcase, Johnny is certain that he will defeat Santos Escobar and Logan Paul.

LA Knight hasn't taken home a singles championship since making his main squad debut in 2022. When he was a member of WWE NXT, he held the Million Dollar Championship, and supporters are rooting for him to unseat Logan Paul.

Ever since defeating Rey Mysterio at Crown Jewel 2023 in November, The Maverick has been the holder of the United States Championship. Only twice has he successfully defended the championship, defeating Randy Orton and Kevin Owens in a Triple Threat match at WrestleMania XL and the Royal Rumble, respectively.
