Young India batter Gongadi Trisha left everyone awestruck and amused with her sensational batting performance against Scotland Women U-19 in the ongoing Women’s U-19 T20 World Cup 2025. Notably, India Women U-19 and Scotland Women U-19 are taking on each other in the tournament’s 10th match.
Scotland Women U-19’s skipper Niamh Muir won the toss and asked the India Women U-19 to bat first. Batting first, the star in-form opener Gongadi Trisha smashed an outstanding and unbeaten century, scoring 110 runs off just 59 balls, with 13 fours and four sixes.
The video of the moment when Trisha completed her historic century immediately went viral on social media as soon as it was shared by official broadcasters on X (formerly Twitter). She has also become the first batter to score a century in the ongoing edition of the Women’s U-19 World Cup.

Speaking of the action of the game, India Women U-19 completely outplayed Scotland Women U-19 in the entire game at the Bayuemas Oval in Kuala Lumpur. While batting first, Indian openers G Kamalini and Gongadi Trisha stitched an unbelievable opening partnership of 147 runs in just 13.3 overs. Kamalini scored 51 runs off 42 balls, with nine fours.
Besides her, Trisha went unbeaten with an individual score of 110 runs off just 59 balls, with 13 fours and four sixes, alongside Sanika Chalke’s unbeaten 29 runs off 20 balls, with five fours.
On the back of these knocks, India Women U-19 managed to post a massive total of 208 runs for the loss of just 1 wicket in the allotted 20 overs.
While defending the target, India Women’s bowlers completely dismantled the Scotland Women U-19’s batting attack. They bundled out the Scottish girls at the score of just 58 runs in 14 overs. Aayushi Shukla scalped 4 wickets at just 8 runs in her three-over stint, alongside three wickets bagged by Vaishnavi Sharma at just 5 runs in her two overs.
Apart from hitting the match-winning century, Gongadi Trisha also displayed an amazing performance with the ball as well in the second innings. She claimed 3 wickets at just 6 runs in her 2 overs, with a sensational economy rate of 3.00.
