Malaysia were bowled out on just 31 runs in the 15th over. The players performed weakly in terms of batting and bowling. None of the Malaysian batters touched the double-digit mark, ending the innings in humiliation. Vaishnavi wreaked havoc on the batting unit, claiming a fifer. She was well supported by her teammate and another terrific bowler, Aayushi Shukla, who claimed three wickets in the match. India forced the opponent to bat first after winning the toss, which proved to be in their favour.
