The ATP Finals 2024 semifinals between Alexander Zverev and Taylor Fritz witnessed a controversial decision from the chair umpire as he overturned his decision in favour of the German. The ATP Finals 2024 is in its final stages and we are very close to finding out who will be the finalists of this season going forward. The first semi-final was between Alexander Zverev and Taylor Fritz who themselves have had some great matches in the past as well. This was a game between two players who were looking to prove a point and win a big title at the end of the season.
The chair umpire makes a controversial call
The match had already started and there was already some controversy which came to light in the match where the chair umpire overturned his decision in favour of Zverev. This has caused a lot of debate on social media already where some fans are criticising the decision already saying it was a double bounce, while some are agreeing with the decision. This looked like a tough call and the chair umpire which will go on led into a heated debate on whether World Number 2 deserved the point or not.

This has brought a lot more drama into the tournament and the match has got interesting as well where even after Taylor Fritz took the first set, Zverev has managed to come back in the second set. The battle for the finals is still on and it will be interesting to see who will be going on after we get the final result.
