Wimbledon Heartbreak: Both Jannik Sinner and Anna Kalinskaya Exit the Tournament

The game of tennis has been made up of some great players even today. We have seen the likes of Carlos Alcaraz come up from the ranks and win some major trophies. This is also the tournament filled with a lot of unpredictable circumstances that we never see coming at all. Though we all have our favourite players, this season saw the people get their favourite couple as well.

The power couple we are talking about are Jannik Sinner and Anna Kalinskaya. These two players were making the headlines and were sharing some cute moments on tour. While Sinner was the World number one and was one of the favourites to win the tournament, Kalinskaya was also an upcoming tennis player who had been having a great season so far. These two were also playing some great tennis and even made it to the playoffs this season. They were the biggest love story in the Grand Slam event.

Heartbreaking end for the greatest sports couple

Though it was great to see this couple play together and show their support on the sidelines, it was a very cute moment for the audience to see. However, some great stories have to come to an end and on this occasion, it was a sad one as both the players ended their season on a tragic note. While Sinner lost a thrilling quarter-final game against Medvedev where he was not feeling well during the game, Anna Kalinskaya also suffered an ankle injury during her round 4 clash against World number 4 Elena Rybakina which ended her Wimbledon dreams right there.

The tears in Anna's eyes said it all as they had high hopes for this year's Wimbledon and were looking like favourites to win this season. Sinner being the World number one was easily fans' pick for going as far as the finals. Unfortunately, it was a story that had got the fans excited seeing the two dominate the competition, but ended with just heartbreak, which none of us thought that both these talented players deserved at all.
