Who could go on to replace him in case he decides he is not fit enough to continue in the tournament?

The ATP Finals has not started well for Carlos Alcaraz as he suffered a disappointing loss against Casper Ruud. Who is in line to replace Carlitos?

There are always some alternative players who could replace Alcaraz in the ATP Finals. The two Alternatives in line are Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov and Greek God Stefanos Tsitsipas who might get a chance in the tournament. Though there still might be a chance for Tsitsipas to be considered, it will most likely be Dimitrov who has been the highest-ranked player. Though we all want Tsitsipas to make a return and prove himself in another tournament it is only fair that Dimitrov gets the chance to be the substitute to replace Alcaraz in case of a withdrawal.

This is a really unfortunate period for Alcaraz who has been having a terrific season so far and none of the fans would want to see him end the season in this fashion. However, this could be an opportunity for Dimitrov who will most probably be the player to replace him and keep his chances alive with two matches left in the group stages to make it to the semi-finals. The Bulgarian has not had the most consistent season and this could be a great chance for him.
