The Grand Slam season has started and this time it has moved to the Flushing Meadows in New York where we are once again seeing some of the top players in the scene. Though we all know it will be a tough competition for everybody, however it will be an even tougher competition for the players who will be looking to defend theeir title this season as well. This will surely be something special for the players who will be looking to this.
The player who is the defending champion in this edition is American number one player Coco Gauff, who is one of the young stars who has already made a big impact. Not only did she go on to become the youngest player to get her hands on the US Open title, but also is one of the highest seeded players in the game ranked at number 3. Gauff has also had a great start to the tournament where she beat Varavara Gracheva in straight sets with scores of 6-2 and 6-0. It is safe to say that this was another dominating performance for her once again at this venue.
Gauff sets her sights on second US Open title
The rise of Gauff had begun from this tournament and there is no doubt she has already achieved some great feats at the age of 20. Even though this has not been a verry memorable season for Gauff where she has only managed to win only one title this season in the Auckland Open. It turns out she has high aspirations to win another US Open this season which she has made clear in the post match saying " Whether It's 2024 or not, I will do it again". It is clear from these words what her focus will be in this ongoing Grand Slam event.

The way Gauff has started the tournament on a solid note she can easily be one of the favorites to win it and be one of the youngest players to defend their US Open title as well. The 20-year-old superstar has set her sights on another US Open title and will want to keep the same consistency throughout and this will really be something all of us would want to see.
