The 2024 season is still not over and there are still plenty of great tournaments which are about to come up. One of the tournaments we will be looking forward to this month is the Laver Cup beginning from the 20th september and featuring some of best players from the ATP scene representing Europe and the Rest of the World.
The Europe team which will be captained by the legendary Bjorn Borg and is looking good despite the last minute withdrawal of Rafael Nadal. The team will feature top players in form of Carlos Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Casper Ruud and Daniil Medvedev and will be looking to avenge their disappointing loss to Team World last season. This will be an another exciting tournament to look forward to this season and all the major tennis fans will be looking forward to it.

Out of all the players Carlos Alcaraz will be the centre of attention since he is not only one of the top performers of the year, but will also make his debut in the prestigious tournament of Team Europe. The World number 3 has displayed his excitement of playing the tournament saying, "I love it and I wanted to be part of it, It’s a serious competition. I think we have to represent Europe, you know, in the best way possible. The prestige that this tournament has, and, being a Laver Cup champion is a huge thing."
The major thing to watch out for is also that the Spanish Superstar will play alonside some of his biggest rivals in the game as well. To this Carlos had the perfect answer as well stating, "We are going to laugh a lot, I’m sure about it. Having a lot of time with them and speaking with them about something else, not only tennis, is going to be different … and I like different things.” This statement is enough to show the level of enthusiaism Alcaraz has for playing the upcoming tournament.
