It is time to check out one of the biggest upsets in tennis back in 2018 as the legendary Novak Djokovic lost the Rolex Paris Masters against Karen Khachanov. This was also the first time the Russian won an ATP 1000 title which he secured by beating him in straight sets and creating history.

This season is almost coming to an end and the next tournament most of the players will be focussing on is the Paris Masters 1000. This is currently the last ATP 1000 tournament which has been going on for over 5 decades and has also featured some great matches. The last season was won by Novak Djokovic who won his 7th title after beating Grigor Dimitrov in the finals.

Khachanov upsets Djokernole in Paris

Just like always the year 2018 was another great year for Djokovic who had won both the Wimbledon and US Open that year and was one of the top-ranked players in the game. Djokovic was up against an unseeded Karen Khachanov in his 5th Paris Masters final and was once again a favourite to win since he never lost a single final yet. Unfortunately, Khachanov had other plans as he went on to beat the Serbian in straight sets with scores 7-5 and 6-4 and win the first-ever ATP 1000 title of his career.

This was one of the rare moments we all see in the game where Khachanov who was an unseeded player at that time created history won the title from the great Novak Djokovic. These are some of the biggest upsets in tennis which no one saw coming at all. It is these moments that make tennis unpredictable which can bring out the best in any player on a given day.
