Carlos Alcaraz hits one of the best drop shots of the season against Karen Khachanov in the China Open quarter-finals. The game of the young Spaniard getting better each game as he is looking good at the beginning of his Asian tour this season. The fans will be backing the World number 3 going forward in this ATP 500 tournament.

Carlos Alcaraz has without a doubt been one of the best performers of the season so far and has already won big trophies this season. With two Grand Slam titles to his name and one of the best Laver Cup performances we have ever seen it is safe to say that it has been a season to remember for Carlos and he has continued his great performance as he has gone through to the semi-finals after his straight win over Karen Khachanov in the quarter-finals.

Alcaraz hits a stylish drop shot

Despite Khachanov putting to put up a fight against Alcaraz, the 4-time Grand Slam winner got the better of him. This was clearly evident with this brilliant drop shot by the 21-year-old prodigy. Alcaraz had already got the Russian uncomfortable with an incredible backhand and he finished off winning the point with a flawless drop shot in the first set. This was clearly a shot full of class which showed that Alcaraz was completely in control of the game and enjoyed every moment of the game.

This shot proved why Alcaraz is one of the top contenders in this tournament and why he is one of the favorites to win the title in Beijing as well. The Asian tour has really started well for Alcaraz and he will be up against Daniil Medvedev in the semi-final.
