Novak Djokovic defeats Lorenzo Musetti in the Miami Open 2025 pre-quarters!

Tennis legend Novak Djokovic has stormed into the Miami Openquarterfinal for the first time since 2016. The Serbian ace has defeated Lorenzo Musetti with a scoreline of 6-2, 6-2 to storm into the last eight rounds. The star player staged his magnificent comeback in Miami after his opening-round defeats in the recently concluded Qatar Open ahead of Indian Wells 2025.

After winning the thrilling encounter against Musetti, Djokovic addressed the star attendees who were making headlines with their strong presence to witness the Serbian legend with a candid admission in his post-match interview.

"I was star-struck. It was amazing to see first DelPo, obviously a long-time friend and a rival, so happy to have him around and get his support from the box. It was amazing, it was (the) first time to have DelPo in the box, so I want to thank him really for coming. And Serena, that was a surprise. Actually, when I had that down-the-line passing shot, I pointed to her and asked her whether it was okay. She said, 'yeah, it was fine'. If Serena says it was fine, then it was amazing by everyone else's standards,” Djokovic said in the on-court interview.
