WATCH: Rafael Nadal and Casper Ruud make it to Swedish Open doubles quarter finals

The Grass Court season is over and now is the time for the Olympics. There are many clay tournaments which are coming up since the games will be played in Paris. This is already a test for all the players and they have started preparing themselves for the global event. We all will be looking forward to the players also being involved in some of these tournaments.

The one player the people will look forward to seeing is Rafael Nadal who is currently playing doubles with Casper Rudd in the Swedish Open. This will also make the King of Clay ready for the Olympic games where he will partner up with World number 3 Carlos Alcaraz. The duo was set to face the second-seeded duo of Varela and Andreozzi in the round of 16 games of the tournament. This was perhaps the biggest Test for them going into the tournament.

Nadal-Ruud to play the quarters

The duo was set to take on one of the highest-seeded teams in doubles and this was set to be another challenging match for Nadal and Casper Ruud. However, it turns out that they were once again dominating the players throughout the game beating them in two straight sets. This was another great performance from the King of Clay and Ice Man who have shown they can be as dangerous in doubles as much as singles. This was another great match where the Spanish-Norwegian duo won with scores of 6-1 and 6-4. They have now officially made it to the quarter-finals and will look to keep their consistency going into the other games.

It was great to see one of the upcoming stars in Tennis and a living legend perform together in the match. The fact that they are performing well in the tournament is also something that will give them confidence. It has been a treat to watch them play together and we all hope we keep getting to see great matches featuring the two.
