The Paris Olympics semi finals had given us some great moments in the game and we have enjoyed every moment of the tennis events especially in the mens singles. After Alcaraz the other iconic figure in the event is none other than the legendary Novak Djokovic, who will be looking for his first Gold Medal in Olympics. This is perhaps the only prize missing from his cabinet which includes close to 100 titles and 24 Grand Slams. Knowing this could be his last Olympics there were a whole lot of people backing him to go for gold.

The former World number one was this time up against one of biggest prodigies in Italian tennis in Lorenzo Musetti. This match would also be a challenge for the legend since last game we also saw him struggle with his knee against Tsitsipas against whom he had another great straight victory. Novak Djokovic will be hoping that he can still perform at his best in this match and get one more step closer to that iconic Gold medal which has eluded him for a long time.

Djokovic reaches his first Olympic final

The start of the match saw both the players neck in neck but in the end it was Djokovic who broke the serve and took the first set by score of 6-4. This meant that the Serbian was just one set away from being in the finals of the Olympics and getting closer to the Gold medal. The second set saw Djokovic dominate again and he goes on to reach his first Olympic final after winning the second set by a margin of 6-2 and has given himself a chance to finally get his hands on that long awaited Gold medal.

This has brought Djokovic closer to Olympic glory and he will be playing his final match against one of his biggest rivals in the modern era in Carlos Alcaraz. This will be another match to look forward to as we have now got the youngest and oldest player in mens tennis to make it to the finals of Olympics. This has been a great contest and it will be interesting to see which player will finally get their hands on Gold in this game and will be happy to secure a silver medal in what could be his final Olympics event.
