Novak Djokovic achieves another straight victory in the quarter finals of Paris Olympics against Stefanos Tsitsipas. The Serbian legend goes through to the semi's and keeps his gold medal hopes alive.

The playoffs have led to some grueling battles between some great players and this has been the story of the tennis events in Paris Olympics 2024. We have seen some great upsets in the tournament and some amazing performances from some players in this contest. One of the biggest legends of the game playing in the mens singles is none other than Serbian powerhouse Novak Djokovic.

Novak Djokovic has been playing some great tennis in the Olympics and is yet to lose a single set in this tournament. The 24-time Grand Slam winner this time though was up against Greek God Stefanos Tsitsipas on this occassion. This was in no way going to be an easy game considering the level of skill the Greek posseses, but looking at how Djokovic's form has been this season, The Serbian was still a favorite in this contest.

Djokovic becomes oldest player to make Olympics semi finals

We all knew that Djokovic was one of the biggest contenders to win gold and he was playing exactly like that in the first set putting Tsitsipas on the backfoot by winning the set by a margin of 6-3. The second set though saw a great fightback from Stefanos Tsitsipas, but in the end it was Novak Djokovic who got the win in the second set tiebreaker and advances to the semi finals of the Olympics. This was another great performance from the legendary player who is keeping his Gold medal chances alive and becomes the oldest player to reach Olympics semi finals.

This was another game where we saw a top rated player like Djokovic go on to win the game and get closer to the Olympic Gold medal which has been eluding him for a long time. Though this was the first game where he faced a bit of a challenge from the Greek, but still came back strong and has qualified for the semi finals where he will be playing Lorenzo Musetti.
