The four-time Grand Slam winner didn't have a great start to the game after her opponent snatched the victory from her to take an early lead in the game. However, the star player showcased her best form, hitting aggressive forehand and backhand shots with outrageous points to level up the game.

Osaka continued her form in the third and deciding set, took advantage of the Ukrainian's weakness, and controlled the pace to win the clash to storm into the second round of the 1000 Masters. The 27-year-old star player is now set to face Liudmila Samsonova in the next round of the Miami Open 2025.

Meanwhile, the former world number one Naomi Osaka affirmed that she wants to "play with the dogs again" after her magnificent Miami Open 2025 opening-round win. The star player, who acknowledged that she wasn't able to play, now aims to stay longer on the court.

It's worth noting that Naomi Osaka took many breaks from tennis to give priority to her mental health as well as a maternity break. The 27-year-old has failed to advance to the third round of a major since her recent win in the Australian Open 2021.

"I want to play with the big dogs so bad and I just see everyone playing so well and I want to do the same. I have to remember it's a process. I knew that I wasn't playing too well, but I thought, 'Let me try to stay on the court as long as possible', because I consider Miami my home," Naomi Osaka said after the win.
