Tennis sensation Naomi Osaka once acknowledged that she never shies from anyone from embracing her roots. The tennis fraternity has witnessed this on multiple occasions, especially during major events, and she sports outfits that pay tribute to her heritage. The Japan-born star might be settled in America, but she loves her roots, which lie in Japan and Haiti.
Notably, the four-time Grand Slam winner's current season hasn't been well with her and the fans. She reached the final of the ASB Classic but lost the final game after she retired due to abdominal pain. However, she staged her comeback in the Indian Wells 2025 but suffered a first-round defeat against Camila Giorgi in straight sets.

After the loss, the 27-year-old star later was so shattered that she called her game the worst match ever she had played. However, Osaka found her form in the Miami Open 2025. The star player earlier defeated Yuliia Starodubtseva in the first-round clash and defeated her after an epic three-setter game.
Following her opening-round win, the star player defeated Liudmila Samsonova in straight sets. The legendary player then decided to embrace the Haitian flag in pure joy after the win on the court.

"I want to play with the big dogs so bad and I just see everyone playing so well and I want to do the same. I have to remember it's a process. I knew that I wasn't playing too well, but I thought, 'Let me try to stay on the court as long as possible', because I consider Miami my home. Working on, I guess not being as nervous. I feel like some of my shots didn’t go the way I wanted them to because I was a little shaky, so hopefully with more matches under my belt that will go away," Naomi Osaka said after her first-round win.
