Among many captivating moments in the game, Berrettini's strategic use of sneaky drop shots and passing shots seems to stand out as a crucial factor for his stunning win. Berrettini, well known for using his powerful serve in the game and showcasing his forehand spin, highlighted a refined touch and tactical awareness that went beyond his baseline power in the game.

The Italian tennis player's ability suddenly shifted the gears in the game, luring his opponent player, Monfils, forward with delicate drop shots and then later exploiting the open court with blistering passing shots in the game, proving to be a masterclass in courtcraft.

This variation has disrupted Monfils's rhythm in the game and forced him to cover all areas, ultimately contributing to the 28-year-old tennis star's success in the game in the first round in Dubai.

These beautiful executions of the shots seem magnificent in the game. His drop shots were too good, which made things difficult for Monfils to anticipate the change in pace and direction. The combination of these two shots in the opening round showcased Berrettini's all-court game and his ability to adapt to new situations.

“It means a lot. Last year, this time I wasn’t even playing. I was training with a lot of question marks. Our sport goes so fast. Sometimes we take it for granted. But I’m trying to not do that. I’m really proud of the work I’ve put in with my team and with the people who love me. I’m really proud of what I’m doing. I also want to do a little bit more. Let’s see how it goes,” Berrettini said after the win.
