Tennis sensation and world number one Jannik Sinner recently made headlines by attending Gucci's fall show at Milan Fashion Week. This event has marked his first public appearance since getting a three-month doping ban related to two failed tests for Clostebol, an anabolic steroid, during the 2024 Indian Wells Masters.

Despite the ongoing suspension, the world number one has been a global ambassador for Gucci since 2022 and stole the limelight in the event. The 23-year-old was seen sitting in the front row alongside prominent figures like Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue Global, and Chinese actor and singer Xiao Zhan.

The star player's involvement with Gucci has significantly influenced his fashion sense, as he previously mentioned many times not know much about fashion before collaborating with his brand. The 2025 Australian Open champion's attendance at Mulan Fashion Week showcases his growing presence in the fashion world, even as he awaits his return to tennis.

How have fans reacted to his presence at fashion week?

Jannik Sinner is expected to be back on the court from May 4, with his earliest return to training set for April. Meanwhile, Sinner's appearance at this fashion event has also drawn criticism from some fans, who have labeled him a "disgraced doper" after his doping saga. Despite this, the world number one continues to be a top player in both fashion and tennis.

Meanwhile, Jannik Sinner has accepted a three-month suspension ban in a settlement with WADA following two doping tests last year. The ban is effective from February 9 to May 4. The 23-year-old star tested positive for a small amount of clostebol, a banned anabolic steroid, in March of the previous year.

"This case had been hanging over me now for nearly a year and the process still had a long time to run with a decision, maybe only at the end of the year," Sinner said.

"I have always accepted that I am responsible for my team and realise WADA's strict rules are an important protection for the sport I love. On that basis, I have accepted WADA's offer to resolve these proceedings on the basis of a 3-month sanction."
