The Halle Open has ended and we have finally got a winner in Jannik Sinner who has won his first Grass court title on Clay which will give him a lot of confidence going into Wimbledon next month. This was another great performance from the young World number 1, who continues his great run this season. There has hardly been a tournament in the season where Sinner has not made it to the playoffs at all which shows how much of a great run he has had.

Jannik Sinner was up against a worthy competitor in Hubert Hurkacz who had beaten Alexander Zverev in the semi-finals. This was not the easiest for Sinner as he had to go through two tie-breakers since Polish as usual showed a lot of fight in this game as well. However, it was a convincing win for the Italian superstar who performed under pressure once again. This was another great victory and we feel there is more to come for him.

Sinner sends his regards to Kalinskaya

Sinner was not the only one who was playing in a Grass court final as his girlfriend Anna Kalinskaya was also playing in the German Open against world number 5 Jessica Pegula. Kalinskaya had an intense battle with the Americans on the court but eventually fell short in the last set. To this Sinner after winning her title also had some words for her saying " My girlfriend Anna played in Berlin today. She lost, with 6 match points. So I’m very sorry for her. She also had an amazing week.”

This was a caring and loving message from Sinner to her girlfriend and it was great to see the chemistry between them despite being in different cities. Sinner showed that though he felt bad for her tough loss, he still acknowledged that she had an amazing season. It is safe to say that these are great early signs to show in a relationship that has recently developed.
