However, Ruud staged his comeback to seal the opening set with a 7-5 score. However, Draper was seen frustrated at the start of the second set. This anger showcases his frustration after he lost the opening set, which allowed Ruud to have an edge over him.

Thereafter, Draper wins the second set in the game to level up this battle. However, the 23-year-old tennis star failed to continue his winning run and lost the match in the third and deciding set.

Ruud further calls his opponent the 'biggest threat' on the ATP tour. Ruud's kind words showcased the two ATP players' friendship and mutual respect beyond on-court rivalry.

"Jack, thank you for your nice words. What a player you are already at a young age. A player you’ve become on all surfaces. You’re a threat to everyone now. Doesn’t matter where. Doesn’t matter when. I think the sky is the limit for you. So unbelievable effort these couple of weeks.. your team as well. Keep going. It’s an honour to watch you play. Luckily, it was my day today," Ruud said.
