WATCH: Iga Swiatek gets her 30th WTA 1000 win after beating Mirra Andreeva in Cincinnati quarters

The Cincinnati open is almost done and we are nearing the end of this exciting tournament already. One of the most exciting players in the tournament is Iga Swiatek who is still giving us some consistent performances in trhe game. The World number one has been performing well in this tournament and is setting herself up to win another WTA 1000 title just ahead of the upcoming US Open this season.

The Polish Superstar was up against one of the rising stars of Russia in Mirra Andreeva in the quarter finals of the Cincinnati Open. Iga Swiatek did get a scare in the first set where the Russian beat her by a score of 6-4 and put he on the backfoot, but Swiatek still came back in the second set winning it by a 6-3 margin turning this game into a 3 set thriller. The last and final set was great battle between the two but eventually it was Swiatek who took the victory.

Swiatek completes 30 WTA 1000 victories

There was no doubt this was one of the best matches in the Cincinnati Open featuring the World number one Swiatek, who has made it to the semi finals as well. However, that is not the only achievement that she has accomplished after this victory as she also went on to get to her 30th win in WTA 1000 tournaments. This uis a massive achievement especially for a young and upcoming star in the game. Swiatek has proved once again why she is one of the leading women in Tennis right now and she will want to continue this going forward.

Only 22-years of age and still showing the consistency of a legend is something tennis players can only dream off but Swiatek has lived the dream so far. She is still the World number one and she has proven why she is the above the rest in this match. This has been a great season for her and we cannot wait to see what she has in store for us in the upcoming tournaments as well.
