Tennis legend Roger Federer is the brand ambassador of the game, as many young kids took up tennis after watching him play. But at the same time, he also has a huge brand value and is a commercially marketable player. So many big brands use him as their face. Tennis is the world’s richest game and the players earn millions when they win ATP titles and Grand Slams. As one of the biggest players in the world, Roger Federer is himself a billionaire.

Recently, Federer did a commercial for ‘On,’ a Swiss-based sportswear company. Roger, hailing from Switzerland, was the official brand ambassador and in that commercial, he answered one of the big questions people have been asking the brand for a long time. The brand name on its sportswear is written vertically and differently.

If you look at the name, it looks like Q and C, as most people get confused by that. To look modern and minimalist, the brand has taken that design. 'On' is now extending to the rest of the world and through Roger Federer, they have reached the biggest business hub of the world, the United States of America. 'Elmo,’ one of the popular cartoon characters in the US was made to speak with the retired tennis legend like a Q&A session.

'Q and C or O and N?' - Roger Federer troll video

Elmo asked several questions and one of the questions was regarding his shoes and their branding. He asked, “Why does it say Q and C on your shoes?” Responding to that, the former tennis player said, “That’s an O and N for On. Elmo argued, “Thats definitely a Q and C.” But Federer confirms that as ‘On’.

Then Elmo makes a hilarious joke about Roger Federer’s alphabet skills by saying, “Elmo loves you, Mr. Roger Federer. Even if you don't know your alphabet, and yet.” Federer replied, “Looks like ‘ON’ right? And Elmo snubs. The commercial was too funny as the brand decided to answer the million-dollar question regarding the brand's actual name through a joke. And through Federer and Elmo, it has reached millions of people, which is a huge success for the brand.
