Tennis sensation Francisco Cerundolo has stormed into the second round of the ongoing Monte Carlo Masters 2025. The Argentine-born star has outclassed Fabio Fognini with a scoreline of 6-0, 6-3 in the first round of the ATP 1000 Masters taking place in Monaco.
The 26-year-old tennis star had a great start to the game as he was seen capitalizing on his serves, which allowed him to win the opening set. He smacked breathtaking shots and didn't allow his opponent to win any game in the first set.
Cerundolo continued his stellar form in the second set, where he baffled his opponent with his extended long rallies, which allowed him to dominate his pace to mark a straight-set win to storm into the second round.

The Argentine is set to face four-time Grand Slam winner Carlos Alcaraz in Round 32, where two players aim to seal a pre-quarterfinals berth. Notably, the 21-year-old tennis sensation is a beast when it comes to clay and might pose a real threat to him.

The Argentine said that after losing the last two matches against him, he might be lucky in the third round. The 26-year-old star player aims to beat the Spaniard to storm into the pre-quarterfinals despite losing the last two matches against him.
