WTA star Elena Rybakina shoots for a new ad for her sponsor, Yonex. They are one of the leading tennis apparel brands, and Rybakina is the brand ambassador. She is also one of the most followed WTA stars on social media and is one of the most marketable tennis stars.

She posted a new reel on Instagram regarding her ad shoot. The cameraman was shooting her gameplay with her Yonex bat, and she was happy to contribute to the ad shoot. She was also shooting under the lights as the camera angles focused on her eyes for the cover pictures. This ad shoot was taken during her Indian Wells 2025 campaign in California. Rybakina is currently the seventh seed in the WTA rankings and the 2022 Wimbledon Grand Slam winner. In 2024, she won three WTA 500 titles in Abu Dhabi, Brisbane International, and the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix.
But after that she had no success in tennis as she missed out on important matches. In 2025, Elena played at the Dubai Open and lost to Mirra Andreeva in the semifinals. Even during the BNP Paribas Open (Indian Wells 2025), she lost to her fellow russian Andreeva in the fourth round.
She started her tournament well by defeating Suzan Lamens and Katie Boulter in the second and third rounds. But when she faced the ninth-seeded Mirra Andreeva, she lost the match again by a huge margin. The defeat was massive as she lost the game by 6-1, 6-2 in straight sets and exited the Masters 1000 tournament.
This is Mirra’s second victory over Elena Rybakina within a span of two weeks. It will be too frustrating for Elena to lose out to the same rival in back-to-back matches. Rybakina's defeat extended Mirra's winning streak to nine games as she moved into the 2025 BNP Paribas Finals.
Rybakina needs to work on her serve as it is less powerful compared with top tennis seeds like Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, and Madison Keys. She will now see her biggest rival, Aryna Sabalenka and her biggest nightmare, Mirra Andreeva, play in the Finals of the 2025 Indian Wells Open tournament.
