The China Open semi-final witnesses an Oscar-worthy performance from Daniil Medvedev as he fakes an injury in his match against Carlos Alcaraz. While fans start trolling him on social media, Carlos Alcaraz's reaction is what wins the hearts of the people in the end. This makes the Spaniard even more popular among the fans.
The most awaited semi-final match in the China Open was played between World number 5 Daniil Medvedev and World number 3 Carlos Alcaraz. Though we were expecting a blockbuster between the two it turned out to be a one-sided straight set affair where the Spaniard ended up getting the better of the Russian in the match as he beat him in straight sets and made sure he made it to the finals of the China Open where he will either face one of his current rivals Jannik Sinner or Bu.

Medvedev's injury fake gets Alcaraz worried.
Though the match ended up being a one-sided affair the first set did see some great tennis from the Russian, but there was one moment which caught everyone's attention on social media. Medvedev after missing a point goes down straight away holding his knee, which also gets Carlos Alcaraz worried as he puts his hand up to see whether Medvedev is ok or not. Fortunately, it was just an act by the Russian number 1 player who gets up straight away with a smile in the end. Even the commentators believed that this was an Oscar-worthy performance from Medvedev, who got everyone worried about his antics on the court.
