There have been plenty of great stars in the Grand Slam week who have been giving some great performances recently. One of the stars giving these epic performances is Daniil Medvedev. The Russian has been enjoying an incredible season and this is definitely one of the tournament's where he has a great history. There is no doubt that we all are expecting him to have another great event in New York this year.

Daniil Medvedev has not really had the best season so far and has been unfortunate to lose some final matches as well. The last time he won a Grand Slam was back in 2021 and looking at his performance now, there is no doubt he could be one of the biggest contenders to win it this year as well. His second round game against Morsozan was another great victory and he will be looking forward to keep his consistency and focus going forward as well.

There is no doubt that Medvedev had another impressive match in the US Open, but it turns out that the crowd at the Louis Armstrong stadium was also something he could not ignore. In fact in the post match interview Medvedev made one of the most uniquely funny quotes where he compared the environment to an Italian restaurant. This did not only catch everyone by surprise, but made people chuckle on social media as the restraunts in Italy are supposed to have a loud environement as well.
