WATCH: Crowd roar for Roger Federer during Laver Cup

The Laver Cup's first day has already opened up with some great matches with the scores level between Team Europe and Team World. Without a doubt, this has already started as one of the greatest events of the season which we have enjoyed for the last seven years and counting. The first day has already opened up with some iconic matches and some great legends in the stands.

One of the most iconic people in the stands is none other than the Swiss maestro Roger Federer himself and though the 20-time Grand Slam winner is no longer giving us his great performances on the court, his presence at the venue is enough to light up the whole city of Berlin who are there to witness some great games of tennis in this generation. It is safe to say that the legacy of Federer is still alive among us and the people around the World still love him.

The Crowd acknowledges the Maestro

It was the first day of the Laver Cup and it was great to see Federer in the stands cheering for Team Europe in this prestigious tournament. There is some emotional attachment to this tournament as well since this was the former World number one's last tournament before retirement as well. However, it was the roaring cheers of the crowd that proved that Federer's legacy is still alive among all the fans in the World. Though the Swiss had a very subtle and calm reaction, we could hear all the excitement from the people who were happy to see him at the venue after two years. There is no doubt that we all miss him on the court, but we cannot stop appreciating his presence at the Uber Arena which went wild as they saw him on the screen.

This is a huge example of how your legacy still lives despite leaving the sport and Federer has built a legacy that will never be forgotten by the people around the world. The fact that Federer got slightly emotional after hearing the crowd shows us that he equally appreciates the fans who have given him love throughout the game.
