American WTA star Coco Gauff stormed into the 2025 Australian Open Quarter Finals after defeating Switzerland's Belinda Bencic in three sets. The modern-day Serena Williams broke her fourth-round jinx this time which she lost previously at the Wimbledon and the US Open Grand Slams.

Gauff has extended her 2025 win-loss record to 9-0 with her win against Bencic. She will next meet WTA No. 11 seed Paula Badosa in the Quarterfinals of the Grand Slam. Badosa toppled Serbia's Olga Danilovic’s dreams of reaching the AO Quarters by defeating her 6-1, 7-6(2) in straight sets.
The Spaniard and the american faced head to head 6 times and are tied with 3-3. But in the last two meetings, Gauff edged Badosa, The Australian Open quarters will be an advantage to the WTA No. 3 seed. From now on the Tournament becomes more interesting as top Tennis seeds face each other.
