Alcaraz wins a nail biter
Even though we knew that Frances Tiafoe was capable of giving Alcaraz a run for his money, looking at the current form the Spaniard was the favorite on this occasion. However, what took place in this encounter proved that Tiafoe was not a player to take lightly at all as he won the first set against Alacraz by a score of 7-5. Even though Alcaraz beat him brutally in the second set the American still came back into the game by winning the third set. From here it was a match to watch out for as Alcaraz clawed his way back winning the tiebreaker of the fourth set. It was all down to the last and final set, where finally it was Carlos who prevailed under pressure winning the last set by a margin of 6-2 and winning one of his toughest games of the tournament.

This was a great game to watch where for the first time it looked like Carlos Alcaraz's title defense was in trouble at that point. However, the way he kept coming back proves why he is regarded as one of the best in the world right now and keeping his chances alive. The World number 3 will now move on to round 4 and he will want to keep winning and stay alive to win back-to-back Wimbledon titles and win his second Grand Slam this season.
