WATCH: Carlos Alcaraz outclasses Griekspoor to qualify for round three

The Paris Olympics is still on and there are still a lot of matches to look forward to in tennis. One of the players in the mens singles who is another favorite to win the Gold medal is Carlos Alcaraz. The Spaniard has been having a great season and was also looking forward to represent his nation in the olympics as well. This is his first Olympics and he was definitely looking like one of the favorites to win it as well. 

Carlos Alcaraz was up against Tallon Griekspoor in his second round match and this was one of the challenging matches he had to face in this draw. The Dutchman has had some great performances in the past, but there is no doubt that the young Spaniard was still going to be the favorite in this match. This was a match to look forward to where we want to see the World number 3 give another outstanding performance on the day. 

Alcaraz gets the victory

The first set went in favor of Alcaraz who once again showed us his great game on clay. With a score of 6-1 the 4-time Grand Slam winner was just one more set away from getting to round three. However the second set was a gruelling battle where Griekspoor took the fight to get into the game. It was all down to the tie breaker of the set. In the end it was Alcaraz who gets the win and qualifies for round three. This ended in another straight victory for the world number 3 and he has kept his chances alive in this event once again.

This was still a great game to watch and the Dutchman really showed some fight in this match in the second set. Alcaraz did face some challenges, but he still managed to overcome it and qualify for round three of the event. In the end it was not necessarily the easiest game for the Spaniard, but he still managed to get another victory and keep his Paris Olympics dream alive in the tournament.
