The match between Rybakina and Sabalenka was one of the most intense matches we have seen in the tournament. This was another 3-set thriller featuring the two but in the end, it was Rybakina who got the better of the World number 1 winning the match with scores of 6-4, 3-6, and 6-1.
In the end, the two shared a hug and it was evident that Sabalenka was happy to see her back and competing against her. Sabalenka was still happy after the match because it seemed like she had missed playing against one of her biggest rivals in the game.

This was also an important win for Rybakina who has not had a great tournament where she has only managed to win one match but she will be happy that she has won it against one of her biggest rivals and hopefully, that will give her enough confidence for the upcoming season where she will want to make a good comeback and prove herself as one of the top contenders.
