WTA World number 5 Elena Rybakina finally hires a new coach ahead of the WTA finals in Goran Ivanesevic. The 2022 Wimbledon winner will look to work with the Croatian who has trained the Serbian legend Novak Djokovic in the past. The Former ATP World Number 2 and Wimbledon 2001 winner will have a big job in his hands to make sure the Kazakhstani superstar's career is back on track.
The WTA Finals is set to begin tomorrow in Riyadh and there will be some top players in this tournament. One of the players we all will be looking forward to is Kazkhstani superstar Elena Rybakina who will be looking forward to making a comeback in the tournament after her long break due to injury. This will be a big test for Rybakina who has missed out on a lot this season and will once again have to prove herself to be one of the top contenders in the WTA scene.

Rybakina hires Novak Djokovic's ex-coach
It was Stefano Vukov who used to be the coach for Rybakina for the last 5 years, however, the two had split in August after her withdrawal from the US Open. However, Rybakina has finally hired a new coach who is none other than Former World number 2 and 2001 Wimbledon winner Goran Ivanisevic who had coached the likes of Novak Djokovic in the past as well and has won multiple titles with him as well before splitting from him in the current season. This will not only be a challenge for Rybakina but for the Croatian as well who will have the responsibility of getting Rybakina's season on track after having a tough 2024 season starting from the WTA finals.
It is great to see Ivanisevic back in action after his split from Novak and everyone will be looking forward to seeing what plans he might have for Rybakina in the future. It turns out all former team members of Novak Djokovic are in high demand with big players like Jannik Sinner and Elena Rybakina wanting to working with him.
