Carlos Alcaraz hails Arthur Fils in Monte Carlo Masters

Meanwhile, tennis sensation Carlos Alcaraz talked about Arthur Fils' strong game plan when the duo faced each other in the Monte Carlo Masters 2025. Alcaraz defeated the Frenchman in the quarter-finals and later won the title. The 21-year-old Spaniard talked about Fils's game plan and tactical skills, which pose a big threat to him.

β€œI think that real champions find the right level when it's needed. Obviously I would love to play a high level and my best tennis from the beginning until the last ball, but I think in tennis we play for two hours and a half, so it is the most difficult thing to do, to maintain your best tennis. When it's needed, it's great to find the good tennis. But sometimes I'm playing against an opponent who is playing better and you have to accept it and run and fight,” Alcaraz said in his post-match press conference.
