The 19th November was one of the most emotional moments for all the tennis fans as it was the last time they got to see Rafael Nadal on the court as Spain went on to lose the match and faced elimination. However the King Of Clay still got a farewell ceremony after the Davis Cup quarter finals loss and there was also a tribute given to him by not only from his biggest rivals but also from iconic sporting icons as well.

Ferrer not impressed with Nadal's farewell ceremony

There was no doubt that Nadal deserved to get a farewell ceremony for what he has done for the game, but there are some people who were not really impressed with the way it was done. Even Spanish Davis Cup captain and former World number 3 David Ferrer also shared his thoughts on the ceremony saying " the farewell to someone as important as Rafa was watered down; very important people in his career were missing, as well as people who have been so important at the level of his rivals and his team. I missed those people."

It is clear that Ferrer while giving the statement was also disappointed after seing his team lose against the Dutch in front of their home crowd but there is no doubt that we hoped for something more from the ceremony. Though Murray, Federer and Djokovic paid tribute to him through a video, we all were feeling the need to see them present at the venue which was the last dance for the 22-time Grand Slam winner in the game of tennis.
