King Of Clay Rafael Nadal replied to Roger Federer's emotional message on social media and shared his thoughts about him during a press conference. The 22-time Grand Slam winner has massive respect for the Swiss Maestro and former rival for how much he has contributed towards the game of tennis.

The retirement of Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer means that we have finally said goodbye to two of the legacies that dominated the World of Tennis since the 2000s. The rivalry between the King of Clay and the Swiss Maestro was something that made tennis the global sport it is today.

The fans were always happy to see the battle between the grace of Federer and the power of Nadal come together on the court. These were the two players who have given us some of the most iconic moments in the sport.

Nadal responds to the emotional tribute

The retirement of Nadal was indeed an emotional moment for everyone in the World of tennis, especially for Roger Federer who also penned an emotional tribute to the King Of Clay. In fact, Nadal also recently responded to the message during a press conference where the Spaniard started it off on a humorous note saying he does not want to sound like his boyfriend and went on to talk about how much he respects Federer as a person and as a player. Nadal also talks about how their rivalry contributed towards the game as well.

While listening to some of Nadal's statements it is clear on how much he admires the Swiss Maestro and what he has done for the game. It is going to be tough to imagine a day when we don't see Nadal and Federer on the court and battling it out once again.
