The seven-time Grand Slam winner stated how her broadcasting role is different from the players who give their interviews. She stated that the player always thinks about the next match and never about giving interviews on the court.
"Listen, I'm really nervous. Am I going to cancel myself by saying something crazy? Everybody's like, 'be yourself.' I'm trying, but it's interesting to be on this side, right? Because when you come as a player, your mind is already on the next match, you're not even thinking about this interview. You kind of get through it, but as a broadcaster/journalist, you want to do your best. Hopefully people watch and hopefully fans get some sort of insight into what it's like to be a player, what it's like to be out there," she said.

Meanwhile, Williams is set to announce her retirement from the game. However, her appearance on the courts has been limited for the last few months. The tennis player was last seen in action at the Miami Open 2024 in Florida. She suffered a first-round exit to Diana Shnaider in the opening round and wasn't ever seen playing on the WTA tour after that.
