Tennis sensation Paula Badosa has survived a close scare against Naomi Osaka in the opening round of the French Open 2025. Badosa has sent with a touching message to the Japanese star, who was shattered after she suffered an exit in the opening round despite taking a lead in the game.
This clash was one of the intriguing ones to watch out for, with Osaka winning the first set after a closely contested encounter. However, the Spanish star staged her comeback and won the second set to level up the game to force it into the third and deciding set. She kept her form heading to the decider, smacked powerful shots, and stormed into the second round of the French Open 2025.

Meanwhile, Naomi Osaka was heartbroken and disappointed after she suffered a shocking defeat, as she was seen breaking down in tears and left the room during her post-match conference.
The 27-year-old tennis star was seen crediting the former world number one for pushing her limit and later admitted that Osaka has showcased a high level of play. However, Badosa took pride in her fighting spirit and said that she was ecstatic after her powerful performance in the opening game.
"Well, I think it was a very high level match from both sides. I'm really happy with my performance, how I fought until the end. It was a very tough match. She was taking me to the limit so I think the level was really high and I'm really happy with that today. She played great also. We both played very well, it could go either side. First set was very high level and she won and the third set was very high level also and it went my side," Paula Badosa said.
