Tennis legend Andy Murray's participation in Wimbledon is still uncertain. The Brit star suffered difficulties with the right leg, which he claimed "was not working properly" last week, forcing him to withdraw from Queen's Club 2024 and hand Jordan Thompson a walkover in the second round. The upcoming marquee event is set to take place on July 6.

The British star was unable to move freely on the court, so he had to end his Queen's round-of-16 match against Jordan Thompson last Wednesday after only five games. Murray underwent treatment on Saturday to somehow mark his comeback at the marquee event.

Murray could have his last final match at the tournament in south-west London after he recently stated that he would prefer to retire at Wimbledon or the Olympic Games. Fans will now have to wait to find out what the 37-year-old does next. His last grand slam match ended in a crushing defeat to Stan Wawrinka in the opening round at the French Open.

According to the sources, the 37-year-old legend is in the medical process and is set to make his comeback soon. In addition, the great player has not made any mention of his presence or absence at the showpiece event.

A statement from his team read: "Following his surgery on Saturday, Andy is continuing to work with his medical team to confirm when he will return to the court. At this stage, no decisions have been made and we will update further as soon as anything has been finalised."

Meanwhile, Andy Murray revealed that he has been suffering from back injuries for the past 10 years, which has increased his struggles during the game.

"I have dealt with back issues for a long time, for the last 10 years or so, and it’s probably quite common for a lot of players. But I have never had that loss of coordination, loss of control, strength in the leg before," Andy Murray said.
