The World of tennis has some big tournaments coming up right now and it is the Grass season which is in full flow. There will be some big players in the mix who are to be part of the Wimbledon. There is no doubt that this is one of the most prestigious tournaments in the game right now.

there might be a lot of hype for Wimbledon this season, but we also must not forget about the upcoming Paris Olympics which will feature some big tennis stars. However, some iconic stars have decided they will not compete in the upcoming Global event right now. These players at their time were set to medal for this season in Paris, but it turns out we will not be seeing representing their nation.

So, here are the top 5 players who have withdrawn from the 2024 Paris Olympics:

The USA team has always been one of the top teams in the Olympics to medal in the Olympics. They have also had some great tennis players who are to win medals such as Serena Williams and Andre Agassi. USA had some talented players in the setup once again, but it turns out they will have to do without the young upcoming performer Ben Shelton in the team. The 21-year-old talent was set to make an impact in the Olympics this season, but it turns out he will not be part of the tournament.

4. Emma Raducanu

There was a lot of debate on the selection of the Great Britain team this season especially considering tennis. One of the biggest withdrawals of the season is Emma Raducanu. The young Britisher did find some form in the Nottingham Open this season and was set to make an appearance in this Olympics. However, it turns out that she has refused the Wild card and will not be featured in the Global event. This might end up being a surprising turn of events where she has mentioned that she will only feature once she is 100 per cent fit. This might be a big loss to the team going forward.

3. Andrey Rublev

The other player whom we were excited to see in the Olympics was Russian superstar Andrey Rublev, who might have had a hot and cold season but still managed to win an ATP 1000 title and some playoff finishes. However, being a gold medalist in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics he was going to be a key player in the Russian team. The RTF themselves decided that they had to manage Rublev's workload and decided that the world number 6 would not be part of the Olympics 2024 in Paris.

2. Ons Jabeur

Ons Jabeur is still one of the top players in the game and was finding some form this season. The Turkish superstar was playing some great tennis and we were excited to see her perform in the Olympics. Unfortunately, it seems like she will not be part of the Olympics and this might cost the Turkish team another medal in the event. Jabeur will be missed during this event as she has also been one of the better players on Clay and could have easily dominated some players.

1. Aryna Sabalenka

This was perhaps one of the most shocking withdrawals of the tournament we could ever expect. The absence of World number 3 Aryna Sabalenka from the Olympics could cost the Belarusian team a lot. Sabalenka has been one of the best performers of the season and she would definitely be one of the favorites to win a medal in the competition. She is another player who has decided to withdraw from the competition due to the workload management.
