Players to miss out on Monte Carlo( Source- X)
The Monte Carlo Masters is set to begin tomorrow with the first round to start at 2:30 pm. There will be some great Tennis players featuring in this tournament. The likes of Carlos Alcaraz, Jannick Sinner, and Novak Djokovic will be the favourites going into the season. However, we cannot also underestimate the ability of Grigor Dimitrov, and Stefanos TsiTsipas to make a comeback in this tournament. This is another great tournament to look forward to in the ATP Master 1000.
Although there will be some great players in this tournament, there are also some big players that will not feature in this tournament as well. This is one of the most heartbreaking moments for the fans and the players we have been looking forward to. Some great players will be featured in this list. There were a lot of fans who were shocked to see them withdraw from the tournament at the beginning of the clay season.
Here are the 4 players that have withdrawn from the Monte Carlo Masters 2024:

Tommy Paul is one of the upcoming American Tennis players right now who has been impressing everyone with his talent. Tommy Paul is also said to be one of the best players on clay right now. The 26-year-old was coming to his peak after he made the semi-finals of the 2023 Australian Open. Tommy Paul has won 2 ATP titles and is currently one of the top 20 ranked players in Tennis. It was sad to hear that the injury in Miami has resulted in him officially withdrawing from the tournament.
3. Marin Cilic

There was a time when Croatian former world number 3 Marin Cilic was one of the best players from 2014 to 2020. Cilic was one of the best strike-first players with a really strong service game. This made him one of the best upcoming players in Tennis. Cilic came into the scene winning the 2014 US Open, beating the likes of Roger Federer and Kei Nishikori to win his first-ever Grand Slam. There was a lot of promise, however, the injury problems kept him away from the game. This has still been a problem which has led to the talented player withdrawing from the tournament completely.
2. Andy Murray

Andy Murray is perhaps the best British Tennis player to have ever played the game. Although he never really had a very attacking game, his presence on the court made him a worthy competitor in tennis. Murray has not only won 46 career titles but also has 3 grand slams to his name winning 2 Wimbledons and a US Open title. The former world number 1 had a chance to come back this clay season after having a terrible season so far. Murray unfortunately had to withdraw from the Monte Carlo masters due to injury. There are speculations that the 36-year-old might be missing the entire clay season.
1. Rafael Nadal

This is perhaps the most heartbreaking news in Tennis right now. The absence of Rafael Nadal has been heartbreaking for all tennis fans right now. After all, Nadal is the king of clay and has won the Monte Carlo Masters 11 times. This might be a rare moment where we see El Nino missing the start of the clay season twice in a row. Nadal has withdrawn from the tournament stating that his body will not allow him to continue playing the tournament. This might be the last phase of Nadal’s career and we know that he has been struggling with injury, but we would still like the 22-time grand slam winner to show why he is regarded as the king of clay one last time.
